Shore excursion planning for Silver Nova passengers calling at Portofino — tender logistics, recommended tour, and return-to-ship timing for Silversea.
Approx. 12 hours (range 11 hours–12 hours) typical · 2 published calls
Silver Nova is a Silversea expedition-style luxury ship with fewer guests than mainstream vessels — Portofino calls in our schedules often allow 11 hours or more in port, which is an excellent window for the full Santa Margherita, Camogli and Portofino tour.
Silversea tenders are usually efficient given the smaller passenger count, but Portofino village still gets crowded when multiple ships anchor in the Gulf on the same day.
Silver Nova passengers often disembark quickly compared with mega-ships, but still allow time to reach the harbour meeting point — not the moment the anchor drops.
Most cruise ships do not dock directly in Portofino due to the small size of the harbour. Instead, ships anchor offshore and passengers are transported into the village using tender boats. The tender ride itself offers fantastic views of the Italian Riviera coastline and the colourful Portofino harbour as you arrive.
Read our tender port guide and cruise port guide. Meet excursions at FARMACIA — 5–7 minute walk from the tender pier (approximately 300 metres).
Small Group Santa Margherita, Camogli & Portofino Shore Excursion — Approx. 4 hours, The only shared small-group shore excursion from Portofino visiting Portofino, Santa Margherita Ligure and Camogli in a single cruise day.
